Privacy Policy

DysVoxa is built privacy-first. Voice correction and speech improvement run locally on your device by default, and your voice never leaves your computer. This policy explains the limited information this website and the beta program collect, and how it is used. Last updated June 28, 2026.

The short version

  • Voice processing (recording, speech recognition, correction, and text-to-speech) happens on-device by default. We do not receive, store, or upload your voice.
  • The app sends no telemetry and works fully offline after install.
  • Optional cloud correction is off by default. It only runs if you enable it and provide your own third-party API credentials, in which case your text is sent to that provider under their terms.
  • This website only collects the contact details you choose to submit (for the beta waitlist or newsletter).

Information we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. We only hold information you actively provide:

  • Beta requests. When you ask for beta access, we store the email address you provide (required) and, if you choose to share them, your name, platform, and a short note about your use case.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address so we can send project updates.
  • Email contact. If you email us at info@dysvoxa.com or support@dysvoxa.com, we receive the contents of your message.

What we do not collect

  • Your voice recordings or transcripts - voice correction runs on your device and is never sent to us.
  • Usage analytics or behavioral tracking from the desktop app - it sends no telemetry.
  • Payment card details - donations and backing are handled by third parties (Indiegogo, PayPal) under their own privacy policies.

How we use your information

  • To contact you about beta access and respond to your requests.
  • To send project updates and newsletters you have asked to receive.
  • To understand, at an aggregate level, which platforms prospective users need so we can prioritise development.

Storage and third parties

Website form submissions are stored in a database hosted on Cloudflare, our hosting and edge provider. We use a small number of third parties strictly to operate the project:

  • Cloudflare - website hosting and storage of beta/newsletter submissions.
  • Indiegogo and PayPal - if you choose to back or donate; they process those transactions under their own terms.
  • Optional, user-enabled AI providers - only if you turn on cloud correction in the app and supply your own API key.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the contact information we hold about you, or unsubscribe at any time. To make a request, email info@dysvoxa.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR; we aim to honour those requests for everyone.
