Terms of Use

DysVoxa is an experimental Windows application that turns one short spoken phrase at a time into reviewable text and, after the user chooses or edits it, reads that text aloud with a synthesized voice. It is operated by SIA DysVoxa (Reg. No. 40203733159). The maintainers intend their project release to remain free, and no paid product tier is currently planned.

The application source code is licensed under the MIT License, which permits use, modification, redistribution, and commercial reuse subject to its terms. Speech models, voices, datasets, VB-CABLE, and optional cloud services have separate licenses or terms that remain applicable.

DysVoxa is a practical assistive communication tool. It is not a medical device, is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and is not a substitute for professional speech therapy or medical advice. It must not be relied on as the only method for emergency, medical, or other safety-critical communication. Keep an established fallback available.

• Features may change, break, or be removed between releases.
• Recognition, correction suggestions, source labels, and candidate ordering may be wrong or arrive late.
• VB-CABLE routing is experimental and remote audibility in Zoom and Microsoft Teams has not yet passed formal testing.
• The software is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind.
• You are responsible for reviewing the selected text and retaining another communication method.

• Use it for any unlawful purpose or to impersonate another person in a deceptive or harmful way.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, or interfere with the security of the website or service.
• Resell or redistribute the software except as permitted by its license.

DysVoxa can optionally send recognized text and relevant saved text context to a user-configured cloud provider if Cloud mode is deliberately enabled and the user supplies their own credentials. The correction path does not send raw microphone audio. Backing and donations are handled by Indiegogo and PayPal. Each third-party service is governed by its own terms, privacy practices, retention rules, and charges.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SIA DysVoxa is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or software. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
